Two-factor authentication (2FA), sometimes called two-step verification, is a security process where you provide two different factors to verify your identity. This better protects your credentials and the resources you can access.
Users of Debitum are requested to set up their 2FA when they log in.
Important: While setting up your 2FA, please save the unique identifier (recovery code). You will need this code to log in if you switch devices or delete the authenticator app.
You can use the Debitum platform without enabling two-factor authentication, but we suggest keeping it on. You can also disable 2FA at any time by following these steps:
1. Log in to your account.
2. Navigate to the Profile Information section in your account settings.
3. Locate the two-factor authentication option.
4. Turn off the two-factor authentication toggle. Ensure you understand the security implications of disabling this feature before proceeding.
If you are locked out of your account because you lost your device or deleted the authenticator app, please contact our support team and send a selfie with your identity document next to your face for assistance with resetting your 2FA.
